Overall development of Heimberg station
Idea study by invitation, 2021
The development of Untere Au, centrally located at Heimberg station, will have a significant impact on the entire community. The aim of the development is a sensitive further weaving of the typical settlement and open space structures, a strengthening of the important superordinate connections, in particular across the valley to school and sports facilities, a new district-related centrality and identity appropriate to the location, as well as the preservation of a reminder of the industrial past. A holistic sustainability vision is achieved for neighborhood development. The future site is expected to contribute to the net zero goal. Systematic reduction of CO2 emissions serves as a key success factor of this vision.
