Hochdorf south area

The HOCHDORF Group, known in the region as “Südi”, is relocating its milk processing site to the canton of Thurgau and has sold its approximately 84,000 m2 site to the municipality of Hochdorf. The purchase of the site was approved by the Hochdorf electorate on December 12, 2021 with an 87.6 % majority. This provides the municipality of Hochdorf with a unique development opportunity for an attractive town center. Adjacent to the train station, opportunities are opening up, particularly in terms of quality of stay, mobility, jobs, services, housing and local construction. The municipality regards the high level of approval as a mandate for high-quality development.
Following the successful test planning, the project is currently being transformed into a guideline concept under the leadership of Salewski Nater Kretz, which will serve as the basis for the subsequent special land use plan procedure, the partial zone plan amendment and all other infrastructure, construction and usage projects on the perimeter.
