The high shelf is undergoing profound functional and morphological change. The open and differentiated block edge strengthens the neighbourhood across the street space and, by keeping the centre free, enables a very high quality of living in a place that will be undergoing transformation for the foreseeable future. The plinth buildings take over the eaves height and define a continuous street space. Two small squares orientate the area to the ring road. With the towers, which develop from the base buildings, a special type of building is being developed for the high curb, which is able to connect the typologically heterogeneous environment of rows, point buildings and high-rises. It allows for a diverse range of apartments that, in addition to the view into the generous open middle of the city garden, offers a wonderful distant view all the way to the Alps.
