The inner densification in Oberwetzikon takes place in different sub-areas; residential park, garden world, alley and boulevard. With the “Medium” variant, a redensification is aimed at, which increases the residential quality by enlarging the living space and offers living space for an additional approx. 330 inhabitants. The existing village square is strengthened by new building volumes, which create the transition between the large-scale building structure in the east and the small-scale building structure in the west of the site. The division of the complex parcel ownership structure required an in-depth examination of noise protection, the location of the access roads, the parking concept and the access to the underground collective garages.
