The building cooperative’s settlement characterises the neighbourhood with its generous gardens and architectural ensemble. The high building density is oriented towards these qualities: The buildings facing Länggasse will be preserved in their appearance through conversion and extension, and the gardens will be turned into an appropriable public open space with a view of the mountains that is currently lacking in the neighbourhood. In the second row, a dense row of buildings with many passages is created, with an intimate garden world in between. A small square at the crossroads becomes the everyday neighbourhood centre, a taller building marks this place with a bakery café and post office.
